A friend let me borrow her Magic beam while we were at a painting workshop. I was so impressed with the unit that I ordered one of my own as soon as I returned home. This is great, i love it.
I am glad I went with this one! Thin, light, and super bright! It easily goes through card stock! I like that there are three light intensity settings when tracing from thinner paper and you don't want/need glaring light. It also makes a handy hard surface to draw on when sketching from the couch.
I was very surprised how thin this whole thing was! And the brightness is another great surprise! I remember how fun it was to use my father's professional tracing table to create numerous pictures when I was growing up. Therefore, I decided to get one for my 8 year old child and he loves using this portable tracing pad.
I'm so grateful for this product! This will be very useful for a project I am working on. I love how there are three levels of brightness. So far it is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for creating a tool that's innovative, easy and light!
So far I'm very happy with my purchase. The three brightness levels have been very useful. For my purposes (thus far) I've only barely been able to see through one the first level, but the second two make it perfectly clear. The power/brightness button is VERY sensitive - taking only a swipe of the finger to activate it, so be careful with that. I have had no issues with pages sliding around on the acrylic. Great purchase, great price

Have only used it 2 times but it seems to be doing the job the way I wanted. It is a little larger than the one my daughter uses and I like the variable lighting control. Makes it easier for me to see with my glasses. I wish it had some clip on for the papers
